Finally got my small mini pc ready. It´s nice to see how integrated graphics evolved in the last years. I can play war thunder and elite dangerous in full hd on a tiny itx pc without a dedicated graphics card .
First week back at work after the hols. Feels great to be back and being productive! Started up UV'ing my personal project aswell, bit of a slow burner but that was always the intention to have a bit of a learning project.
Applied for 6 weeks leave away from my bill paying job and most likely spending alot of it trying too breath life back into my 'never ending' dormant hardsurface WIP...sad! I know but nonetheless hellovalot more fun
Got to tour an nimitz class aircraft carrier today. Never been on a large boat, not to mention one that size! Being a federal employee has its perks I guess.
An old, old friend got in contact with me again after many years last night, I might finally escape factory hell for a better job, and I've found something resembling happiness in my art again. Good things, good feelings~

well really I spent a couple of days refining my zbrush workflow and FINALLY am making some good progress. Also I finished a 6 month contract for a games company , sad to finish it but was a good project to work on
I bought a second house, a longer term fixer upper with an acre of land in the capital area of Iceland. I've been getting into carpentry the past few years and am almost finished with a 35 square meter sun-room I designed and built myself on our primary residence.
I am off to visit Codemasters and Rebellion on Monday, yay! what a couple of lovely companies they are to show me the future of the games industry and to put up with me asking stupid questions

Ungggggg.. *bites fist* Outside is gorge, inside could be worked with. ;-)
Dang Company! took their own sweet time approving my request for 6 weeks leave starting mid July, geez it's been over a month 'already', anyway just got word today....feeling hyper stoked at this point dosn't even begin to describe my mood on recieving the news
seeing large amounts of industry people i respect speak out against toxicity in gamers and harassment campaigns and support better working conditions for game devs.
I am so happy and proud of all their hard work, it’s funny how time and time
again the hardest working students are just really nice, dedicated, spirited
people who show integrity and courtesy to their cohort, okay that's enough
emotion, got to get my drill sergeant hat back on ready for September.
During my graveyard shift last night, was extremely gratifying plus not the least a very humbling experience too witness law enforcement in action rendering backup via an incident on site that may've gone pear-shaped for moi so just a shout out for all the guy's and gal's in blue doing it 24/7 without fuss or fanfare - up high for five gang
Details have been released of the first ever console controller designed and made specifically for disabled gamers. Microsoft says the Adaptive Controller will give people easier access to the games they love. Currently players have to rely on the work of specialist charities to adapt traditional controllers to meet their needs. The news comes as the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK has released a report saying more needs to be done to help disabled gamers.
Do you guys feel good when, assuming you buy your software, doesn't matter subscription or not ? I know 3D software more so is expensive; so for many yearly fees are costly for software but when you do, there may be more to say you are a licenced user of the software. And community is great but at times knowing you can call support and tell them how upset you are over a bug
On a side note the varroa devastation has yet too make an impact on our 1500 native species here in AUS due to extremely stringent Customs border controls that have prevented it's entry thus far but sadly it's only a matter of time as to when the virus will eventually land on our shores. Still recent research has shown Bees are starting to evolve to survive the destructive varroa mite which is indeed a glimmer of hope for bee populations world wide.
The ability to watch 3d and 2d animation movies, experimenting with colours while creating stuff with my Wacom, playing video games and waiting for Avengers Infinity war 2 is what makes me feel happy.
