I made this as tribute to a great show, Breaking Bad.
If you are interested in the details, it's mostly dynamesh from a sphere, retopologized, uv-mapped, poly-painted and then I used fiber mesh for the facial hair. Two days of work.
I hope you like it, and merry Christmas!

This is a whole new level, and is leagues beyond me. Utterly fantastic work.
Really love all the work you put into this man. Such a joy to behold but I do agree with Gestalt. The nose just need a bit more work and also make those forehead creases a bit deeper.
While we are on the subject of the forehead, take a look at this ref image you'll notice his head has more of a dome shape to it. So i suggest raising yours up.
I did a bunch of corrections, adjusted the overall face proportions and completely remade the skin shader.
And now, powered by more beard!
Rendered in Octane.
I hope you like it!
this one however, i could easily mistake for a still from the show, looks spot on as far as I'm concerned. Is it rendered in zbrush?
only thing that's bugging me is his left eye, seems a bit large or stretched, more noticeable in the render tho, not as much in the zb pic
Really cool work, I've gotta check out that renderer too ^_^
Astonishing work.
would you mind uploading on tinypic etc please? i want to see this guy!
Top image on the left, the images are scattered in the thread, but it's all there.
COngratulations on the top row!
Still an excellent piece of art. I doubt I could ever do it.
So, this week I've spent another couple of days making one more image (this is the last one of this subject, I swear! ).
Previously, I did the eyes in a simple way, just by projecting the photo on my model, but this time I made a proper eye-bulb, complete with Cornea, Iris and Sclera.
And for the fan of the show, I dresses him 100% Heisenberg!
I hope you like it, and happy new year!
Also cheers for the break down of you process. Always niceto see how people work.
What is a Polycount banner? Do I have to apply to something? Please explain, I'm interested!
