Top notch work, love it!
I do have a question; how did you do your fly-through? Did you use FRAPS to capture? How did you do the camera work, it's so smooth?
Glad to see you finish this, it came out beautifully. I worry about the length though. If this were in a 3 min demo reel, it'd take up nearly the whole length.
@Sean Vangorder, BringMeASunKist - Yeah, I might upload a shorter version, but if I was going to use it in a demo reel I would defenitly make it shorter )
@Grimmstrom - Since Im using a visarea with dynamic lights I was just turning off the lights by typing e_DynamicLights 0 in the console. I also changed the ambient color for the visarea to be grey. I dont know if this is the best way to do it but it worked for me )
@Zepic - Im using a camera in the scene that I animate in Track View, There you can controle the curves to tweak the motion just how you want it. I was then using fraps to record the flytrough. You can also render out images from cryengine frame-by-frame and then put together the image sequence in e. g. After Effects.
I've updated my last post with another video showing how the environment runs and looks in first person. Also added a .zip file with the rendered shots in higher resolution (3840x2160px)
Thanks again for your feedback and comments, its much appreciated.
Cheers!
totally amazing work man. The mood of scene took me from the first second.
Would love to wonder around in a bigger scene of such attention of details as you made here.
Incredible stuff here. I love that you took a lot of inspiration from the matrix but ended up with something distinct from it. You can see the influences but it stands alone as well. Really like it man! Also love the little details like the 'Made in Sweden' on the wrench.
