Thanks for all the feedback! Im defenilty going to try and experiment with both the lighting and colors and see what is most intresting.
Its been a busy week but i've started working on some new assets for the scene, This is one of those chairs which are used when connected to virtual riality. Based on the one from the first Matrix movie. Still need some more love in Zbrush before lowpoly and baking.
Hey people. Busy with work latley but got some time this weekend to create a toolbox for my scene. Was also playing around with track view in Cryengine so was thinking about doing a little camera pan next to show the scene in motion. Stay tuned.
The details are great here but there is still something about the lighting that isn't sitting right now with. I'd spend a little more time working on the ambient occlusion to get a more realistic look and feel
Yeah, The ambient occlusion in Cryengine can be a little bit tricky, tbh I havnt really done any changes with the lights since the last environment post so im defenitly going to spend more time on that one! Cheers!
Hey!
Long time ago, busy at work
Some more progress on the scene, Added props and particles, tweaked the lighting, tweaked the cloth, new bed cover and a lot of other things. Still some more stuff to do.. Haven't decided where I want to go with the colograding. Also exported a small video so you can see the environment in motion.
Cheers!
This is simply amazing! I really love the lived in feel you've created. And that video made it even better! I love the ambient movement of the fan and the flickering of the monitors. Stunning work
if i may: the girl on the screen is somewhat distracting. not overly so, but distracting none the less. maybe something more subtle would compliment the scene and not distract from all the fantastic elements happening here? (a loop of the president giving an address that their mainframe has been hacked, black & white fuzz, etc.)
i think what works the most here is just how much movement the environment has. there isn't a single person moving around in this scene and yet its alive. great job.

I'm not trying to be funny here (and I'm not just picking you up for the sake of it), but surely the whole point of The Woman in the Red Dress is to be distracting?
Hey! Thanks for all the feedback and comments.
Finally had some time to wrap up this environment. These are the final render shots, some break downs and also a flythrough. Cheers!
Excellent stuff dude, this has turned out really well!
Would you mind explaining how you display only the diffuse and AO in CryEngine? I was looking for this when I was working on my server room scene but I couldn't find anything about it

i wish the cables would cast shadows to ground them more (the one on the foot end of the bed especially).
E-freak. Yeah, Will try to fix it with ao. Sometimes lightmaps would have been useful
Did you model and render out the Lady in Red too? Or is that some stock footage you found?
really nice

It's her sole purpose, and in that regard works well in my opinion.
