The Relax tool in UV editor on 2013 crashes Max for me more than half the time. It's been a real hoot. I miss 2012. And 2012 isn't even over yet.
Be sure to install the latest upodates ( currently PU005 ) AFAIK the UV relax crashing is fixed and the Max team releases 3ds Max updates like crazy ( ~ 1 a month ). Only problem is that the current Max 2013 install mechansim is somehow borked and requires 20-30mins per update. So don't get impatient during the updating process ;-)
