This last of us game play. the visuals are good, no doubt. But, I laugh becase it is not as good as the first trailer. "realtime footage" does not mean the game looks like that.....
I really really hope this game has some kind of free roam element too it and isn't 100% hand held. Having a strictly linear experience through such an environment would be such a waste
skamberin....it's naughty dog....it's gonna be handheld/script. i want it to be free roam too. but it's not gonna happen w/this dev. they have too much dialed in w/their experience. shame kinda.
Ok, That game looks fucking AMAZING. The game play especially. oh man. I LOVE the little things like taking time to switch weapons and stuff. ooooh man!!!!
Yeah, it's not like Uncharted where you're just shooting around with near infinite ammo and cardboard enemies. Somehow they managed to make it feel like you're fighting for your life - and that of the girl - against real, equally desperate people.
Wow, Naughty Dog just has some amazing Environment Artists on tap. They just seem to be able to craft each of their games with such exquisite detail and pack it all in.
If it wasn't for that Wonderbook thing, Sony would have had the best conference. Nice to see they finished it off on a high note, but I was so tired by then that my excitement was significantly lowered.

The part that irked me was that the enemies felt like real people who cared about each other. When the last guy begged for his life, it was sort of shocking, I've never seen something like that in a game.
This game seems less about "hey look what we can do with these cool graphics!"
Nothing makes you hate your enemy as much as making them human.
I can see killing in this game might be very weighty and well done. That horrifyingly annoying group of murderous thugs that have killed you for the last 50 checkpoints will now beg for their lives before you clean their teeth with buckshot, IT WILL BE BEYOND SATISFYING.
Also Ellie seems like one of the few side characters you genuinely want to protect, also she's helpful! Yay bonus points!

... Yeah this, okay I might not mind the linearity so much now.. that was intense as hell, especially that last headshot.
This might be the most satisfying jerk-killing-sim out there.
just a little slice of something. not nearly as interesting as watchdogs.
graphics aside i mean, they were incredib.e
