@darkartsofneko> I have two suggestions. First, the hair is very uniform - hair isnt usually clumps of hair that look roughly the same size. It tangles and overlaps with other clumps of hair, especially when the hair isn't pulled tight to the scalp. Since you went with an over the shoulder low ponytail, you should try googling images of that to find some examples. Second suggestion is that it's just hair. cm's head slot usually has a very large/recognizable silhouette - it's one of her largest slots. You could try adding something else around the head to fill it out a bit more.
@Drywall> Furryfish! That's adorable. Cant wait to see the animations. The walking form of the fish would be hilarious. XD
Hello everyone, I am new to polycount and i have a question,- if i have a lowpoly models and i need someone to paint or sculpt the highpolys of it, because i cant. Will someone collaborate with me? Is it a usual offer, or it is too bold? I ask an advice because dont want to be ashamed, bu i really want to see some of my ideas in game.
Someone might collab with you if you post your concepts and lowpoly Ppl do collabs with just concept artists so making the lowpoly as well Im sure is just good news for collaborators provided its good! (dunno though because I guess people have different workflows and some ppl work high->lowpoly rather than the other way round)
I was going to make a single piece for the monthly but I was having fun witb an elder titan concept. I haven't started on his weapon or totem of course. The idea was that he has gotten is spark back and is sprouting life. Trying out some other ideas as well.
Just posted my first item to the Workshop and I'm very fucking excited! There was a thread on Reddit about how unknown/not associated with something popular artist have no chance of getting their items in the game and it got me a bit scared and . Just hope there is a positive response because I enjoyed creating it and learning the software.
Anyway, here it is: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles//filedetails?id=240393841

Well done mate! Your texture is really good, suits dota quite well imo
Fixed my VS Weapon sculpt according to the feedback gave by some friends and drywall - less scratches and stronger -. On to retopology fun tommorrow as soon as I get up
Hey guys I don't post much! I sculpted out a courier for PMS|FurryFish, a really nice person. Here it is! This is the flying form, the ground form is gonna be all floppy on the ground.
Looking interesting! I think the flopping on the ground animation could be really interesting in game. This one caught my eye because I'm working on a fish courier too.
Weapon set concept for Ember spirit. let me know what you guys think about the overall idea and concept:). They are based on Chinese Butterfly Swords. I'm fairly new to the workshop scene, and just graduated from art school, so I'm looking for a way to work on my skills.
Second item of my Tidehunter set is almost done. The jaws move together with Tide's jaws. It was a little painful to adjust it but it works OK with some clipping. More adjustments will be made. I wish I had more tri's for the bands.
Also, I updated the weapon after the comments I received here, thanks again Baddcog and Soldeus! Only some baking errors remain on the shark which I just noticed
re-design CM concept set... i feel bad for the hair... maybe weapon too.
tell me which hair you like (mix and match with accessories )
I think uncreative hair#3(counting from the top) looks good(yay for asymmetry!), I'd combine it with the version 2 accessories. I'm not great at designing stuff though :icon60:

XD you know that hair 2 and 3 actually i base on...
This is my second submission to the Steam Workshop for Dota 2. The Silencer Hidden Talent set was wildly successful and this one has been a long time coming. I really went out of my box by using Zbrush to do all of the sculpts for it. I learned so much working on it and all the time spent was totally worth it. As before I started with a concept I created and worked from there. I created the low meshes in Maya so that I was sure my design would work with the limited polycount available. At this time I also rigged up the items and loaded them into the game. This gave me a chance to see that they all worked together in the character's animations. It helped me to troubleshoot any clipping issues early in the pipeline. From there I took each item into zbrush and created the high meshes and baked it onto the low meshes I had already created. The texture work was pretty simple with the bakes I had made. After that I created a few background items for the Marmoset screen shots for the marketing images. My goal with this set was to make a very evil looking steam punk armor. The character himself is always on far so I thought it would be interesting to make the set look as though it is harnessing that power. I learned a lot about creating hard surfaces in Zbrush and using that in my pipeline. All in all, it was a great experience.
Feel free to head over to the workshop page and give it a thumbs up!
@MdK: who is phil? i keep finding a user that named phil... cause i don't get it
(and "clipping" too) @KingUNREAL: nice and simple shape blade very nice @Welbig: very nice set! i can see it will be in soon... @Kranken: what is the flying form looks like ? driving a UPS truck there?
Ok so since people are saying my loading screen was clipping, and I can totally see why you would think that, I think I should show the screen again where it might looks a bit more clear. :P
@Rubus The idea looks pretty cool, but remember that Valve is trying to avoid everything bone/gross things related due to the chinese market. Keep this in mind in yoour future projects!

That's true, but the dark troll summoner summons skeletons which look fairly similar. We tried to make it come off as more playful than scary too, especially in the video!
So - whilst I'm waiting for the animations for my courier(s), I've started on a ward themed around Baba Yaga, to go along with DrySocket and Chemical Alia's amazing Baba Yaga courier.
Just the highpoly at the minute...
(sorry for the huge images - forgot to resize and re-upload)
Ok I finally finished set for Slark. It was made for tournament organized by Dota 2 Srbija. I hope more detail will be available soon. Anyway right now I want to post sculpt and promo haha. Things that I am most proud of Screens and such can be seen on workshop so I will not spam here to much. It was hard to not post any updates ^^'

Thank you! Was worried it was a bit too blingy but people seemed to like the gold teef more.
Came up with an idea for a Slark weapon the other day which had connections to another...hero in the game <_<
Quick color pass.
I can already tell im going to need to make an alternate for this...

Now a bit of shameless self-promotion here.
It's a courier I did in collab with pen0r, who did all the animations and that awesome video.
