Hey guys,
I've been working on this rifle for quite a while and finally had the time to finish it. How do you guys like it?
Here's the whole project on artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/14NooG
some times what you need is... time sinks :)
to make something that stands out, you will have to test things and play with them, iterate on them and scrap stuff that doesnt work.
personally i would suggest to work with concept artists / 2d designers on it, you can design stuff in 3d and come up with cool styles but usually 2d guys are just quicker and push out a lot more content than you could in 3d. and even if you have something you like in 2d you first will have to make it work in 3d and iterate on it together with the 2d artists, find solutions in 3d that are easy to replicate, maybe even automate to cut down times.
if a stylized last of us was my goal, i would first of all take a screenshot from last of us and try to stylize it, work on proportions simplifying texture detail etc.
before Ori and the Blind Forest became the game by that title, it used to look like this
then it went a whole lot simpler to nail gameplay
it went through a lot of stages before it became the final vision of the game.
Awesome stuff guys! Damn impressice kitchen work Lamont.
After 2 years of a table and some extra legs underneath i am finally wrapping up our desks at home. Since first planning we added Molly to our family and she really enjoys the view so we added the stairs for her.
The top needs some more sanding and then oiling but its finally getting done
Bit of a downer to leave the thread on. I bought my version of zB in 2004, it knocked my sox off.
So accustomed their updates are useless I stopped to bother installing them.
Hmm. Unsubstantiated claims ho! I dunno when you stopped updating and what turns you on but it sounds like you missed the good stuff over the last 21 years. Nuff sed.
Hello everyone!
worked on a fan art of Lil' Cactus from Legend of mana, love this little guy so much after replaying the game recently on the switch felt inspired to do a hand painted version of him.

Paid jobs are to be advertised in https://polycount.com/categories/freelance-job-postings
I'll note: teaching someone the full process of sculpting, retopo, UV mapping, texturing, lighting and rendering is going to take a while. $100 is very little money for what you're asking. You'd be better off searching YouTube for tutorials on ZBrush, Maya/Blender/Max, Substance Painter, and trying your best at those.
Well I've started this thread in January 2017 and its January 2022 witch I can finally can this project done.
I had some many more ambitions for, I've wanted to put him on UE add some animations and create small simple demo. But I've a little time between works, Some times years without touching him. Its time to let it got I got satisfied with this result And I hope you liked it too.
