Some light to see him better. Sculpted all in Zbrush, was using Zbrush retopo for him and some 3DsMax. Texturing in Substance Painter with Zbrush base painting. Renderings are in Blender with Eevee.
A lot of that stuff growing in his hair is actually modular and can be switched out. Face and hair is also animateable through bones.
Small suggestion for the people posting their Artstations, probably should include a screen shot of how your portfolio currently looks, just in case you update it and students are looking at this thread in a year or two.
