Like say you worked on a fortnite skin as part of Lakshaya Digital, you can't say you worked on Fortnite, nor can you showcase the skin you worked on in your portfolio once it is release.
You are made to sign that you will never ever reveal what you worked on ever.
Personally I wish this one aspect of the game industry would get infected, rot and die.
The total secrecy and lack of any transparency, hiding all development until release in 5 years is counterproductive to building momentum and recognition for the artists. So much of WIP content is marketable, but its all hidden behind a shareholder sucking corporate forcefield.
Look at the state of Humanoid Origin and Worlds Untold
Worlds untold was barely a year into development and Humanoid Origin was 4 years in and with both dead we will never get to see what they were working on because of NDA.
And the artists don't get to show anything either.
Atleast with the Concord disaster the artists did get to show something, at the very least an NDA clause should include terms that if a studio implodes all the art is released to the artists for use in their portfolio, its not like they have to sign over ownership of the content.
Where NDA's make sense is in creating FOMO and hype for live service titles. Like in the case of fortnite there was a leak which reportedly robbed Epic of the element of surprise.

But this isn't the same as a curated approach to share development progress and build player engagment similar to a kickstarter or patreon.

A lot of last week was prep work for sculpting; made better lowpolys for subdiv sculpting (faulds & tassets, rerebraces, vambraces, gauntlets). Minor polypaint work to remove some of the most messy parts of paint. Adjusted waist proportions to accommodate the underlying pourpoint, as well as to allow cuirasses to procgen sans faulds, or vice versa. I also started prototyping emblems loosely based on Japanese 'mon' (紋) to represent the various factions & houses in Project Nova.

I recommend taking a step back from 3d and break the reference down, identifying what's important/ location-defining. Including such preparation steps in your thread (and portfolio), you can communicate your thought-proccess to the viewer.
Had a quick go at it:
I think this doesn't have to follow any specific format, it's more a exploration of the space to get a better understanding. Perhaps you did something like that, but for me, it didn't transfer into 3d yet.
A few points on execution:
An easy way to add detail and scale reference to a room (same in real-life) is trims along elements connecting to floor and ceiling. Another easy, yet crucial, aspect is correctly scaled surface detail (tiling).
Based on what you wrote, I think you're aware that your choice of surface materials make the rooms atmosphere differ quite a bit from the reference - in particular due to the tiles/grid appearance.
To get going with surfacing, you could use some existing scanned materials at first and modify/ replace them as you go.
If at some point overwhelmed by the amount of work, you could try to re-scope - doing a smaller room in the style you extracted or break out some modules/ props - or just try to push through in a set amount of time, move onto the next project, revisit at a later point.

Very sad. A great inspiration who raised the bar of sculpts/details in environment art to a level that was never seen before, and basically defined the workflow for every production since.

Make sure there are no n-gons in your mesh. If you're using 3ds Max, apply a Turn to Poly modifier to your mesh with Limit Polygon Size set to 4, collapse and re-export.
If the FBX exporter finds n-gons in a mesh it will automatically triangulate the mesh (might behave the same in other 3D applications).

2048 or 4069 are texture resolutions, texel density is pixels per world unit.
The average high end game will support texture resolutions of 4096 or higher, but which resolution makes most sense depends on the asset and use case.
Edit: Of course 2048 or 4096 are ultimately just numbers, so maybe I was the one making a wrong assumption, here. If you meant 2048 or 4096 pixels per e.g. meter, then that once more depends, but seems both fairly high for generic assets.
