PowerPreview: High Quality Nitrous Previews (3ds Max)
I just wanted to inform that i put a new PowerPreview version online over at Scriptspot. That version is fully Max 2014 compatible and contains various bugfixes and improvements.
For people who never heard of PowerPreview:
Essentially it's a tool which allows you to tweak the Nitrous viewport to achieve the best possbile display quality. This includes options that are not available otherwise. And finally it allows you to create viewport captures at resolutions not being possible by other means ( up to 6.4K x 6.4K ).
This is true for simple snapshots as for animated previews
I would be more than happy if people would test PowerPreview using their game art ( environment, characters .. whatever), and post their results here in the thread. I think to SOME degree Nitrous quality is able to compete with dedicated preview tools, but lacks accessability to it's features. This is exactly where PowerPreview shines, giving you all options on an centralized interface.

Congrats on the green card and relocation to NYC! Must be an exciting, if nerve wracking time (I've always wanted to live there for awhile at least).
Formal education (certs and degrees) really only help if you need it for a green card (which you have) or working in higher education as a teacher. So then, finding a job comes down to Portfolio, People and Persistence.
For the first bit, post your portfolio here so you can get feedback on it. For the second bit, a big advantage of living in a large city is access to all kinds of people, art and culture. I'd recommend looking for user groups, game jams or other gatherings of folks that may work in industries and fields you are interested in. For the last bit, you gotta keep trying. Apply, fail, improve the portfolio and try again. Some people will say you need to be lucky to break into the industry, but luck exists at the intersection of persistence and hard work! You may need to find work outside your desired industry or take on some smaller freelance jobs to pay the bills until you land a permanent role.

Browser games these days are these day mostly done using webgl, which is low level GPU stuff. they do not tend to be built out of web elements, but rather built in traditional game engines and exported to the web.
Unity, unreal and godot can all export to web.
BUT if you want just some 2d animation stuff for a website, Lottie may be your answer. https://lottiefiles.com/
It was originally an after effect plugin, but now there are specific lottie editors.

Depends a bit on what you plan to do with the window, will there be steam coming out of the cup etc. (might get a bit much as you'd have three regions of interest). Perhaps throw a light in there to get a better sense of the final scene.
Nothing that needs changing right now, but the overlap of the crank with the edge and corner of the gramophone base is a bit unfortunate, as it the sound box (the small cylinder holding the needle) visually touching the horn. Likewise, the left corner of the gramophone might be a bit close to the walls meeting behind it, depending on lighting. Nudging/arcing the camera a bit to the left might solve most of that, but you can also move/rotate the elements if you want to keep the overall composition.

This is extremely interesting ! As someone who mostly paint on a single layer when doing concepts (like, I prefer picking neighbor color over switching from paint brush to erase tool, as less tools means less shortcuts to keep in mind and more time actually expressing my ideas)

So we decided to change up the front of the helicopter. It looked too much like a bus so we decided to make it more like a huey/black hawk so it's more familiar and relatable. The process was pretty easy thanks to substance painter. I saved the stacked material I made for the corrugated sheet metal, as a smart material and re-applied the material to the new mesh. Sometimes this doesn't work so great and you have to tweak it a lot but in this instance, it worked out nicely - all that was needed was some minute tweaks here and there. To prevent from having to retexture the whole asset I simply removed the front nose paneling that I kept as a separate element from the rest of the mesh and just incorporated the new nose cone texture into the already existing texture for the rest of the heli. We also decided to create suspension for the front wheel instead of the shopping trolley cover.
However, there was a trade-off. Because the new mesh for the nose cone is larger it would need to occupy more space in the uv. After initial tests, it was far too low res even at 2k. So I deleted one side of the wooden planks and mirrored the left side to free up more space. This managed to remedy the problem nicely and looks decent at 2k!

Thank you very much for this fantastic answer. This is a very illustrative solution. I will definitely incorporate these approaches into my workflow in the future. I have adjusted the design according to my current level of knowledge.
Additionally, I have repeated a lot of fundamental exercises again, as I believe my basic understanding of Sub-D still needs improvement. Thanks also for the links – very informative!
