Re: [WIP] Trench Shrine - UE5 Scene
Next I started adding a little bit more structure to the roof. I decided to add 2 support pieces to the roof to make it look a bit more believable
Initially I tried to make it with some details that were used in in traditional houses in my hometown
To me it seemed it clashed a bit too much with the overall shape language of the shrine and decided to go with something less jarring and a bit more simple
I then proceeded to duplicate the element to make the rafters and another plain plank to start making the purlins ( both terms I learned today in English
)
Afterwards these two caps for the front and back of the roof
Last bit in this session I started working on some roof shingles to start finishing up the roof.
Now while it seems a tad excessive to do all the elements of the roof, since I'm not pressured by deadlines, I decided to do the full structure so I might be able to do a destroyed / bombarded version of this shrine later on; or maybe another wooden structure. Not sure at this point as I'm already planning to add way too much to this scene

[WiP] Ork char game ready.
How are you fellas? I've decided to return to 3D (I don't know if I should but here I am 
). I'm trying to make the full process of game ready character to learn. Inspired by this piece ArtStation - WAAGH!, Rostyslav Zagornov .
The sculpt still has a long way to go and I think I've over worked a lil bit, I will take some days away of it.
But first, do you have any suggestions for the process of retopology and rigging? Any new software or techniques? Should I do it in Maya as always?

Converting PBR to Source (DiffSpecNormal)

Hey what worked for me was to turn off symmetry (press X key) or Transform > disable symmetry tab

You may think about how many different peaces of rubble you really need and only use these as particles instances. Maybe even merging and makeing a convex hull and bake the texture to that "one-filled-piece-of-rubble". Or simply do a shrinkwrap of a grid on top of the particle simulation.

added save as psd.....
i've added the save as psd c++ code I used for anyone interested..... it's perhaps, in it's most trivial form, not that "scary"
, It's not been checked to see if it compiles (i normally use a wrapper class for the 'c' file io functions and I've had a evening of food, wine, brandy and whiskey) but it's pretty straightforward 
... I know gdi+ is pretty old hat but I like it, it should be pretty easy to port to any graphic base.

Looking for critique on my stylized material sculpting
Hi guys (first time posting here ), I've been working on improving my sculpting of metal, wood and stone materials for the past 15~ days. I'm proud of the progress I've made but I know there are still plenty of mistakes, so I'm here looking for criquite/feedback/advice. PS: Ignore the "ornamental" parts in the middle of the tomb, they were just a quick test.
