I love it, it had a ton of potential!
I really enjoy how organic the first shot feels. In conparison, the straight lines from the palisade and the road entrance feel pretty off..
Especially compared to the round organic house shapes
Id try loosening thah up a bit. But its tricky you want the area around the palisade cleared out. Those trees in front atm are so massive, the look like chopping them down could result in an easy break of palisade.
Maybe add a moat? Maybe make it wave over the terrain a bit more organically? Not sure if that makes sense

Thanks for the clarification on the pedestal part. To each their own I guess, if it helps you building your models. I tend to do that also but I don't embarrass myself with a pedestal, just a plane ^^. I guess I'm lazier than you 
So you won't do animated characters, just an animation of static situation right ? Yeah seems a way better plan considering the complexity of your model with no knowledge about animation ^^. Good good good, just checking you're not putting yourself into too much frustrating work

I'd suggest finding a 3D model to use as a guide, to help you figure out the layout. Then decide what the smallest repeatable element is (one triangle and one larger patch), model that as simple as possible, then instance-rotate it around to fill out the whole ball.

In my experience realtime clothsims are unpredictable enough that you want to avoid relying on them fully for anything that you really care about.
My instinct says physics driven bones are less likely to do weird shit and are almost certainly more performant (low bar in this case tbf)
I'll caveat all that by saying I've not had to set up a character that had flappy cloth stuff in 7-8 years so the Sims might be amazing now

Well, if there's one rule for cloth in games, it is that "clothsim" isn't the obvious solution it may seem to be.

More generally this kind of stuff is always more tricky to setup than what one would expect - so, never ever leave it "for later". In the sense of : don't even begin a cape or hood design before being 100% certain that the tech to make it move actually works, with a representative ingame prototype.
Also it's always a good idea to design such elements in a way that allows them to be skin weighted the good old way (moving with the skeleton of the character) as a fallback, especially since there is a pretty good chance that a fancy cape solution ends up being dropped later in development. Lastly, treating cape objects as separate modular parts (as opposed to intricate designs attached to the character in a visually complex way) is a good idea too.

Thanks for the big resolution shots! Looks promising.
You'll probaby fill the scene up more, but right now, the big empty floor area with the repeating board pattern is something that stands out immediately. The shot towards the sun works best in that regard, as the specular breaks up the shading.
The materials and colors would profit from some more variety. Sure, most of it is wood, but the floor could be much more dusty and bleached (right now it's the most saturated element in most of the images) and the green growth on the roof happens to match the painted accents on the house pretty closely. Similarly, the background colors are pretty close to the foreground as well.
The textures and noise seem pretty homogenous, too. Good for tiling, but you'll want to add some blending or trims for transitions, e.g of the walls towards the floor.
It might be the interaction with the light, but some of the noise also seems to have too much contrast locally. E.g. in the more dirty areas, don't go from full to no dirt within your pattern unless that is exactly what you want. It can be especially difficult if your reflection or roughness have high contrast noise as it can look very different depending on lighting. Depends on you intended degree of realism how much you can (or should) bend that.
For the fence in the foreground of two of the shots, you have some variety in that one main piece has dirt and another doesn't, but the one which does has the same amount and size of dirt all over once again. It also seems to stick in the ground, but I assume that will change.
The shadows are a bit dark on my monitor for the last two shots, which isn't that a much of a problem for the very last shot, but in the second to last one that dark area is pretty big and right in the middle of the image.
Perhaps show some textures and models if you want some more technical feedback.
