Very true! It wouldn't feel right not to credit!Eric Chadwick said:Welcome to Polycount!northoftherain said:Hello, I'm new to the site and I'm currently learning Maya but I was told about this challenge from my professor! I think you don't need to list the source for every reference. Just for the main image you are using as your primary reference, it's nice to credit the artist if it's not made by you personally.
Think about how it would feel if someone else used your art as inspiration for their piece, and wouldn't it be great if they gave you credit.

I’ll be sticking to the fighting game genre, drawing from Battle Arena Toshinden 2. Toshinden and Toshinden 2 were some of the first 3d fighting games I remember playing and enjoying…and especially liked seeing all the character illustrations in magazines, with Tracy being the standout.

Right now as I’m envisioning it in my head: I want to try to
keep it a more stylized realism- something similar to the FF7 remake. And initially
I was tepid on the Mad Max setting…but then thought about borrowing elements
from Furiosa (Fury Road) like giving her a prosthetic hand could be fun, and quickly
warmed up to the idea…and then realized she already has a little bit of
desertpunk vibe anyway ![]()
Let’s see how it goes…
