Hey guys, As someone who is dedicated to providing the highest quality service at all times, I am always intimately involved in all aspects of 3D art, particular when it comes down to planning and delivering the environment scene in detail. The foundation of my success lies in my passion for being at…
Hello, Besides all the technical details about baking well-covered above by @Fabi_G (as always !), I think you are going down a weird rabbit hole with this model. It certainly looks very clean and detailed, but it also looks a lot like something that has been crafted with a CAD-like mindset of trying to put each and every…
I assume this long triangle shading gradient isn't in hi poly mesh . But it could be if its sub-div model . Most probably although it's low poly model . Easy fix would be just fixing vertex normals/ split normals or whatever they are called in your software. Here I fixed the gradients by just putting Weighted normals…
Yep. All mapped to BSP quads. So, essentially planas. I'm *pretty* sure they had a normal map, basic diffuse (bricks + mortar) with AO overlaid, and then a really simple dirt tile that was masked in with some shader stuff (probably using one of the UV channels to get the gradient easily), though it's kinda been a while ;)…
Hi there! I think I quickly mentioned this some time ago but I have been thinking about it more over the last few days. There is a possibility that such tool already exists somewhere, but I thought I could share the design document and maybe, find someone interested in coding it! ***Hotkeys holder for tablet and tabletPC…
UPDATE: I have an update! SUBHEAD: Unexpected Pitfalls So I got sick of microslop's shit for the very last time in November of last year. I didn't post on microslop's forums that I was switching to linux, and then keep using microslop's products. I just did a buncha research about which distro would be best for me and…
This i hear happens monthly: https://polycount.com/discussion/238326/the-bi-monthly-environment-art-challenge-march-april-101#latest so i suppose you could go backwards and on your own time do some of the stuff that interests you, no matter how small and eventually make a scene of all of it, perhaps? Practice makes…
Hey everyone! :) Just finished up this project created in Unreal Engine 5. This one ended up being more challenging than I initially expected, especially when it came to getting materials like snow/frost to read correctly and working with decals. That said, I learned a ton throughout the process and I’m really happy with…
