I really want to like it. Its well executed for sure, but I feel like the character itself suffers a lot. maybe once its textured. At the moment it leaves me going.. meh. Maybe pushing the proportions further while keeping the detail would help. I really think the hulking arms with scrawny legs really add a lot.
I worked a bit more on his arms and legs. And I am considering giving him some more mass to his thighs as well. But soon I will merge all the subtools and try get some details in there. And after that I will work on a female variant. Feedback is greatly appreciated if any of you see something awfully wrong at the moment…
I've noticed some other app logos in the images but cant find much of an explanation about how mega scans is working in conjunction with other application's although i'm quite out of the loop. I just thought mega scans was pretty much just a library of materials for DDo. How does this work with Modo? Can just import…
As far as I know they scanned the ME1 hero characters - Shepard, Kaidan, Liara etc. Then for ME2 and 3 I'm not sure if Kolby Jukes has used scans for Miranda or the TV reporter woman. As for the other NPCs it was a cost issue I think - spending an hour in the face generator can never be beaten even by scanning.
Certainly @Pep_mepla ! I used fSpy to get a starting point but quickly ran into some translation from concept to 3D issues so I adjusted some elements but tried to respect the spirit of the concept as much as possible. Disregard the legs not properly connecting, I'm about to fix that. :) Also I started working on the…
I'm hoping some of you seasoned Modo users might be helpful with this, since you might have run into this issue when you were starting out... Cut/paste from my post there: Okay, so I'm trying to migrate from Max to Modo 601. I have both Max and Modo set to use meters. My object is 18 cm wide in Max, I export it to Modo…
I like the hooves better in all honesty, though to mee it seems like they are just hinged. If anything, looking at Diggers or JCB's you can see that anything that is hinged has some kind if piston in them to drive it. Maybe consider some tech or possibly even a piston to add some structure and reasoning behind the movement…
You give yourself some good self critique there. I think all those things could help. Maybe even merging the nose into the face so theres no folds at all could help too. And the tenticle legs look kind of isolated, I think she'd look more awesome with sort of a cuttlefish tenticle arrangment.
Yes, because lightly stylized anatomy is the mark of children at work. It's not like she's even that far from what a real, athletic woman could look like. Chest size is a little bit off and arms are maybe an inch too narrow. And her legs are a bit long. Men are much more idealized than that in most games.
