Made this for my mother in law for her birthday. It's her World of Warcraft character. Needless to say, I am now her favourite son in law for the rest of time. Final model: Original: All sculpted by hand, didn't export the model from WoW or none of that 'cheating'. Man, Blood Elves have weird body shapes, though.
This is my second attempt ever doing hand painted textures. I drew up the concept myself but I did take a lot of inspiration from World of Warcraft. This particular project took me about a week to complete and I used Maya 2016 and Photoshop to do it. I'm a student at Full Sail University and am just learning how to do this…
After playing a bunch of World of Warcraft and reading Expedition (an awesome artbook) I felt like making an alien environment. Here's my first one, which is pretty much a sponge but on land, hence the name landsponge! how original! The texture needs some tweaking because I did it at work so I couldn't preview it on the…
Good day everybody! First time post here, so let's get to it.... Here's my current progress on my take on a Pandaren Warrior from the Warcraft Universe. I still have a fair amount of texture work to do, among other things. Let me know what you think! The armor is a bit inspired by some Dynasty Warriors stuff. I thought it…

This will be then moving into a full scene for whichever style I choose. below are my current Renders of the textures from UE4 which were made using 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop and 3D Coat. Any critique and feedback…
The textured model is on the bottom right  A lot of games still use diffuse only textures: Word of Warcraft, League of Legends, Mobile games etc. It is still a valuable skill. There are some people who sell assets that are a loy poly untextured style, but I have no idea how successful they are. Example:…
I would start my texturing by colour picking all the primary colours from the actual comic as base colours then add the most prominent details that you see in the comic style to the texture. So for example the table is just one colour with black detail lines and edges, shadows could be baked, no need to overcomplicate it.…
I've changed the way I build the roofing so i don't get that weird wooden trim all around it (It made coloring the roof look awkward). Added a base Trim as well as a door texture. Next objective is to make better wall surfaces and figure out a cool chimney design. I also wanted to make the roofing blue, but it instantly…
