I am trying to get better at digital painting, are there any good books or tutorials out there? I wan't to learn a lot of the basic digital painting techniques plus any books that lean on figure painting and portraits.
Hello everyone! I have been concepting-modeling-texturing some weapons based on the amazing WOW. Hope you like it ;) BTW On the first image the Orc Portrait is from Blizzard Entertainment but the weapons are my own...
I am starting this daily routine of self portraits. Whatever I get done I can't edit, at least for a while. This will force me to get out of the playing in the mud routine and get faster more spontanious results, instead of spastaniuos. Any one else have a daily workout for art?
Hi everyone, I'm teaching myself Zbrush and just had a quick question. I've been watching a lot of instructional videos, but none answered this question... how many polys are there generally for a finished sculpture in character art? for both portrait and figure used for games and film. Thanks and advance!
Looks great, would love to see some more volume and structure on those lips, right now they seem very deflated and stick out to me as a weak point of the portrait. You need to tell me how you done those sleeves. They're fantastic.
Looking quite lumpy on the side of the face. The cheek bone needs some attention as well, bit of a mess around there. The lighting in this portrait highlights his cheekbone well, and the silhouette of his face on the right. Looks like a more prominent brow line than you have.
Hey everybody, long time no see. Just updating what I've been up to. So I've recently finished a portrait of my boyfriend that I just wanted to plop down here in my sketchbook, it was pretty good practise and great fun to make it. (and frustration)
Wanted to do a closer portrait concept to see how I'm going to deal with the decals and all that alittle better. Yeah I'm definitely going to be modeling him and give him the full production treatment. Thanks for the great feedback guys :D Glad you're liking it!
