[3ds Max] Straighten UV map
It's been a while since I open 3ds Max, and I kinda forget some tools or maybe this one is not exist yet. I want to make the UV straight without getting rid of the triangle on the mesh. Hi! Looks as intended to me. The values of the border pixel where the UVs end get repeated outwards (edge padding) to reduce visible seams when the texture is displayed at a lower resolution (mip map). I suppose by banding you mean the stepping in the padded pixels? That's probably due to the UV borders not being aligned… -

I love it, the only comment i'd have is that most of the heroes from HOTS, have their main attrubutes exaggerated a bit, probably to make their elements a bit more recognisable from the RTS view. I wouldn't worry about fitting it all on one gigantic sheet at this stage. Just unwrap each asset on its own. (they should be individual objects, not one object with a dumpster element, wall element etc.) Spend some time getting to grips with unwrapping, then do each one at a time with its own texture. maybe what you mean is that by default "select elements" is enabled with TexTools- which means that if you click any shell, polygon etc. in the viewport it will select associated element polygons with it in 1 click.
