Alphas alphas alphas. I'm guessing you are trying to achieve the same look by just sculpting everything in right? Nah. Very little of the detail is actually sculpted on a per object basis, because that would take too much time! Look closely and you can probably spot the repeating patterns used. What I would do (I'm no Orb,…
hello everyone, this is my first thread and i hope it's a right place to post.my problem is with layers in z brush. whenever i quit hd geometry my layers will be gone. even if i go back to hd geo again (with highest subdiv level)they don't comeback. thanks
Model the overall shape in a normal 3D modeling app, then take it into ZBrush and use slice/dam standard brushes and clip curve to cut in the little wedges along the edges.
Yup. If you started your model in zbrush using GoZ is the quickest method to move your mesh between apps. Pressing one button instead of exporting and reimporting are extra steps that are no longer needed. The default zsphere in zbrush is very small in 3dsmax. Most people use the default zsphere to start a character in…
Why does it need to be Zbrush? I would use a physics sim in another 3d tool, dropping a ton of various gold meshes and bake from that. Maybe you could use a IMM brush, but it would be slow.
I'm following tutorials and people seem to just be painting (not rgb texturing) their details with standard brush. Whenever I try this it makes the surface bumpy. I don't want the silhouette of the shape to change at all. Am I missing something?
i REALLY like zbrush3...so much faster. however i'm having some troubs bringing my sculpts into max. has anyone experienced any probs? the settings are the same as w/zbrush2. but i can't even bring in a model that is 500,000.
