Substance Designer: do you let a thin layer of dust affect roughness and metalic maps?
imagine you are making a flat sheet of white plastic, but its covered in a layer of fine dust. would the dust affect the roughness or the metalic? firstly, its a pain in the ass so Im sure game designer people wouldnt mind me skipping it. but I was thinking that the dust would affect the surface's reflection of light a… -

New to Zbrush - lighting's just gone funny!
Hi guys, I've started trying to learn Zbrush today with a few tutorials but I think my hand just went rogue and pressed something because the lighting's just changed on my mesh and I can't seem to work out how to fix it. I guess I'm an odd ball because Zbrush has always clicked with me. When people say they hate the UI and don't get Zbrush I don't really get it. I understand _why_ people don't like it but I guess it just never bothered me. When I have helped people learn ZB I think the biggest thing they get hung up on is how many options… -
I just beat the final boss in 3ds Max.
An error message for too many error messages, not forced! Oh well. Edit Probably worth noting... I wasn't scripting at the time, that window just popped up. I was actually just mirroring an object when it jizzed itself. -
