@RustySpannerz Thank you man, i really appreciate the comment. Anyways. took a break and continued with developing the exterior. Been doing couple of foliages. Some pines and fir. Also working on more foliages, flowers, grasses and bushes. Will be posting soon.
Sorry about that. Here are some more details @eric It seems my solution would be to select Adaptive Subdivision Sampler rather than Adaptive DMC with a max subdiv level of 3/4. Would that be correct? Flower Setup Fish Setup
I like how you've added loads of small details to make it look more convincing. How about adding some alpha channel work like flowers and grass. Are you going to texture this? I really think you should
My first thought was to do some kind of flame man in a forest, on the verge of interacting with a flower. After some thought, however, I decided this was a tad generic. I still like the idea of fire, so I thought what if instead it was a woman, and she was interacting with a crib or something. I'll play with the idea. WIP…
Need some suggestions on a drawing I've been working on. I'm planning on trying to put more colors and contrast in the flowers, and I want to see if I can get some depth of field going on by blurring the ones at the top and bottom. Not sure what to do about the background though. Any suggestions on that or anything else?
How's it going my friend? Love the color palette and the atmosphere you've been able to place in your piece *superb*. Definitely screams "Zyra". The characters silhouette is nice so far. However like always theres room for improvement as all artists know. Your doing some great illustration work however. 1: The Golden Mean,…
oh my! i'm sorry i didn't see that sooner Sukotto, that's awesome! the flowers on his green (cactus?) arm are a little out of place i think... or are thise alpha planes that just don't show the alpha yet? here's my lady in UDK.
Looking really good The ingame font choice looks odd tho, and the game logo texture on the tavern sign looks very misplaced, robbing the immersion totally for me atleast. Some small flowers and stones and such decor could really bring it over the edge
@EvanL & Sean VanGorder Thanks guys! I added some flowers and more tall grass in the correct areas. I also added some rocks on the cliffs to make it pop more. Are the rocks an example of what you mean by making it more natural? :D
Here's a screenshot of the Alpine Forest scene that I'm working on at the moment. I'm just testing out foliage in Cryengine at the moment, so this won't be a huge scene.. But it's getting there. I'm going to be adding in lots of colourful plants and flowers next to give it a bit of colour variation.
