Hello, I'm looking for feedbacks and critiques on this scifi terminal. There are a few things that I want to improve, and I still have a few shading / normals errors. UI on the screen is not there at this time but it will come. I would appreciate to have feebacks on the global look and feel and texturing. I plan to add…
All of post effects doesn't work on viewport like bloom , sharpen even the Global Illumination doesn't work too. But I can see the effect on the capture image, is there any switch that I can change the setting? ty for helping :3
Current gen has also the "features" of nextgen, like tesselation, FXAA and realtime global illumination (www.geomerics.com). All of them are being used on current consoles with a limitation. So I would consider next-gen a reality already.
Ahhh that's where it's been moved to... I guess I can see some advantages to having it at the material level though, you can adjust per material rather than globally. Thanks for pointing out the new spot!
Not a max user, but bake following the advice here (hard edges by UV borders), also you've got too much edge padding. Just explode the mesh, give global cage extrusion in xNormal and you should be good.
You can't edit the undo operations, that would be too risky. ;) However you can indeed group them, take a look at undoInfo, especially the openChunk parameter : http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/maya2013/en_us/Commands/undoInfo.html
Try this: Click on the max button > manage > asset tracking. A new window appears, click "Bitmap Performance and Memory" > "Global Settings..." and Disable the Proxy System, click "OK, Generate Proxies Later" and restart Max. That might fix it.
Did you try turning off Global Super Sampling in the Render Setup dialog(9). If its already off try turning it on. I remember it caused issues in older version of max when using render to texture.
