Hello. I'm having a trouble with making a tree in UDK. I have a TGA RGBA texture exported as 32 bits/pixel. Imported to UDK, material set as MASKED with 0.333 clip value. And this is the result: While in Marmoset toolbag the tree looks much better: Is it an alpha compression issue or something? It says that it's DXT5…
Your cylinders have 8 sides in max. Therefore, they have 8 sides in Zbrush. As you noticed, Zbrush displays everything in facetted mode. So if you want "round looking" pillars in Zbrush, simply make then, say, 32 sided in Max.
If you look closely at any of the screenshots, you'll see a lot of the structures have numbers or lettering on them such as "PMB 32" or "<<<keep area clear>>>". Each letter, number, and sign is mapped to a polygon. This allows you to spell anything and arrange it in anyway that works.
Here are two speedpaintings from refence: No color picking, and just using hard brush: 38 mins: And 32 mins: Somehow, this last one was very chalenging, a lot of similar, yet quite contrasted colors, so it was hard to get the right colors
@Bek I actually haven't needed a baker for a few weeks so I haven't got around to trying it yet. Probably it's because Wine has implemented more Windows functions in 32-bit mode than it has in 64-bit mode.
So I figured it out with the help of a programmer friend of mine. For those who are having lag issues with UDK, try running it at 32 bit instead of 64. Don't you just hate it when the simplest solution is the one you completely miss?
Hm... I have heard of something like this before, and that was also with a sandboxie user. I don't know whether that's really the issue, but I can imagine it wreaking havoc with our use of temporary files for swap, especially in the 32 bits version Krita.
I like the PS3 controller, but no drivers for 64bit, so I got the 360 with wireless adapter ($15). 360 directional pad sucks. Really bad. You can get a PS2 wired and an adapter from Elecom for $10. 32 and 64 bit.
Depends on how close you see it, just make sure it looks round. There shouldn't be any straight edges on round objects anymore in 2010! If you can get really close up to the barrel, I'd go for 32 edges or more even.
What they don't show much of is the coloured model (seen at 0:32) but from the shots you do see I think her new look is more tame, or what I'd likely see out of such a person (read: not such a 'character'). Pulled tight pony tails that are 4' be damned.
