I sculpted a high poly mesh in ZBrush, retopologized in TopoGun and now in zNormal I'm getting an error: "Invalid function parameter 'msh': The mesh Default has an UV face (191) pointing to a non-existant vertex 53676608 No idea what the error means. I'm pretty comfortable with my UV sets and can't detect any…
Added an inverse dock corner and tidied up some z-fighthing meshes. Added a mesh surround to the whole piece to stop light leaking in and holes seeing out. Demoed Trim sheet 101 in a 15 minute chunk and played about with different camera angles to present the scene. There's a lot of scope for some very distinct looking…
Used to have problems with symmetry in 701-801. Works fine for me now all the time. If not mesh cleanup fixes it all in most cases and if that doesnt work, then there is instance mirror alternative similar to how you would work in Maya really. Also I believe in 901 you can have topology based mirror now too.
Here are my pictures, and videos. I had fun and got a nice buzz as well! http://zacharyrussellphotography.com/archives/191 [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnY0yJxOlRI[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjYnJu51Lyw[/ame] http://zacharyrussellphotography.com/__oneclick_uploads/2009/10/p1230020.JPG…
Can you post a picture of the sign with wires? There's like 101 things that could be causing it. I mean just recently I learned about broken tangents along UV seams and how they can cause normal map seam errors. I mean everything could be perfect with the mesh and the normal map just wants to be a jerk and cause a nasty…
Humm, I am using unwrella2, and when I make my seams, and then use unwrella, unwrella uses both the default seams max made and the seams I made. How do I just get uwrella to use my new seams? Sorry for 101 questions in this thread but you guys are being really helpful so I appreciaite it.
There is so many step by step tutorials on this it's ridiculous. Software doesn't matter. If you can't translate from another program to blender, do more Blender 101 tutorials.…
If you can afford to buy DVD tutorials, then check out Digital Tutors....they got lots of Maya 101 DVDs that are tailored for complete beginners where they walk you through the interface all the way to modeling. Also Lynda.com has some interesting DVDs. They are all pretty good and like I said aimed towards the beginner…
... my poor laptop is already fighting quicksaves in a scene with 'barley' 55 millions ('quciksaves' up to 191 secs...)... I guess he would slap me in the face if I would push it further and kick me in the nuts for 160... I guess it doesn't matter how strong machines become, we will be riding them to till they start…
As soon as I saw "intense", I was going to mention the Octane 101, which is basically an Everclear daquiri. But as soon as I saw non-alcoholic, I realized I got nothin'. Apparently I'm too tame. You people have some seriously whacked tastes. And I swear I'm one of the last human beings on Earth to despise the taste of milk.
