In Krita: make two clone layers of the image or the top level group you want to analyze. Add a Desaturate filter mask (Rec. 709) to the bottom one and set the top one to Difference blending mode. Add a Desaturate filter layer on top of them both, then a Brightness/Contrast filter layer that you can adjust to more easily…
Hey guys, sorry if this has been already asked before (super newb question, bear with me): how can I generate edge scratches on my model? In the Suite workflow primer, after the model has the first smart material applied (which I can't find in my Suite - the closest is a green 'Scratched Painted Metal'), the neck part…
I'm getting tons of errors with Quixel 2.1.5. and Photoshop CC 2015. Just as many as 1.8 im sorry to say. Just upgraded Photoshop 2014 to 2015 through their Creative Cloud app which is just a button press, not sure if it counts as a fresh install or not. So heres a few of them, not all... Any ideas here? 1.) Only 2 of 4…
Hello! I am looking for some help figuring out why the mash-id node in Maya isn't working as expected. I am creating a modular building and using a mash network to help distribute the pieces of the building out evenly (not sure if "mash" is the best way to do this). Everything works great until I add the mash-ID node. I…
I have a problem with UDK and building maps. Every time I ask to build the map, build the lighting (or likely anything of the sorts), the program ends up in some sort of endless loop. It will get stuck on the first or second task, and the time it is taking will just keep going up without anything happening. I cannot even…
You can get the same effect by using clay polish, it will mask out creases. So after mashing the clay polish button, invert mask and drop fill some white, or paint it in with a large soft brush where you want it. If you don't want to alter your mesh you can always save a morph target and switch to it afterwards.
I don't mind answering questions. It helps me organize things in my head because I often have to explain these things to people. Huge stuff in the distance: So, you probably have a skybox. But, you want a huge object far, far away. You don't want to set your camera far clipping plane to something huge because that messes…
Off the cuff, 2 UV maps with non overlapping seams, blended via vertex color data guiding a secondary "coverup" texture, blend it using some sort of noise so it doesn't look bad. A suggestion would be to set it so that you have a primary UV for the main rock texture, and have the UV offset randomly based on object ID or…
Since no one else has, here is what is written on their site: "...just don't try this at home and don't take it too seriously, it's just a game. :) The question you may ask is: why do they do this? These days, when a lot of games are heading to be polite, colorful, politically correct and trying to be some kind of higher…
[Condensed for Gauss] Meh... For me V for Vendetta has always been a mish-mash of stories. Phantom of the Opra 1984 by George Orwell Zorro and last but not least Batman Sure it has some twists and some new stuff not mentioned in the other stories but there still isn't enough "new things" in the story to really grab me. The…
