Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's the best course of action. That changes the direction the lower leg is facing, so when I went to animate it I wouldn't be able to rotate it front to back, only at something like a 45 degree angle (if that makes any sense), because all the other rotation angles are locked. -

The Punk Genre and Games.
What are some good examples of Steam punk and/or Diesel Punk from games? Ones that had a consistent believable world. To me dishonored and Thief are off branches as they seem more 16-18th century like cities and have magic. And to help my understanding. Diesel Punk is like 1930-45s with futuristic equipment? As in Falloff… -

iirc if you set the normal strength to the same value as the distance in a distance node and convert that to normal you'll get a 45 degree bevel. this won't necessarily give you a seamless bevel when applied to a 90 degree corner due to life being unfair and you'll need to adjust UVs to compensate a bit. It does work… -

Wasn't it around 7 last time? we should arrange to meet at the place a good 45 minutes before hand so we can pick up late arriver's and book a table and what not. I still think we should locate a nearby bar to wait at - bodeans had a bar but not every restaurant might. -

Looking good so far I been watching the videos recaps but they seem to have been removed there was a 45 min where you made outline of the concept and the 5 hour blocking stage (only saw 3 hours came back and now there only the most recent 2 hours which I seen). Keep it up :) -

Is there a way to align uv islands in the 3ds max uv editor by like 45 or 90 degree increments (relaxing tends to rotate the islands and it's hard to get back to horizontal or vertical orientation)? Or is there a way to align the entire island based on a single row of vertices horizontally or… -

Mossbros is right, it's also less draw calls to have a 4 large pieces vs 24 small ones. You can even use the same textures for both. And you can have a 180 degree piece, 90 degree, 45 degree, and 18 degree, and just combine them together to fit your needs. -

Just got a new machine a couple months ago, Intel Core2 Quad 2.4GHz, 2GB ram, Nvidia 8800 GTX. Runs consistently between 45-55 fps, everything on High. Managed to capsize the boat that's up on blocks on the beach. Then crashed it up onto the docks, and came out with four arms. Yeah bitches!
