Wow. Sounds weird, but I just don't have nearly the amount of time to do all the stuff I want to do. I'm currently working on 3 side projects, but have another 12 ideas ready to go, along with 3 really solid collaborative ideas. This does not mention the 12 games I have sitting in cellophane on my coffee table, and 20+…
What is important is a consistent balance of function and form. You can stylize things heavily, but consistently, or you can build supporting functions that justify a form (like the sweet M16/katana sheath in the article I'm linking) http://platinumgames.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/e6b1bae5ae9ae7a8bf5.jpg…
The general rule i try to use is 8 sides on arms, and 12 sides on legs... anything else and its not as easy to work with or uv map IMO with 8 or 12 you always know where you are going to put your uv seems and its easier to mirror things. The grip on the gun is very blocky and you can easily do the indents on the clip you…
I combined the elements I liked from them all, and then changed up the proportions. One of the things that really got me about all of them is how tiny the trigger guard/trigger were. I couldn't imagine anyone being able to shoot it especially not someone in power armor. I was painting over it with the idea of The Rhino…
is there any benefit for an artist to get a retina display? I haven't used The New iPad™, so have no idea how painting apps utilize the screen estate. curious too see photoshop cs6 and painter 12's UI with os-independent small fonts on that screen too.
Thanks for the feedback, so ToD can be animated to create dynamic day/night cycle . My interior is set to 12:00 at noon and the exterior is at 13:00 which gives me two dramatically different setups in one file with ability to animated transition between them etc.
Yeah ill rend quick one out now. And its obvious the squash and stretch wont change the awkwardess. Im have tried doing normal speed spaced frames, and FRAME by FRAME set at 12 fps. The curves is what i thought and i couldnt fix anything through it.
DVD: $20 for 2-3 hours Game: $50 for 8-12 hours Seems like a good deal to me. Not sure why people feel ripped off when a game is 8 hours. I've found that I tend to get bored with the game after 10-14 hours.
man I so wish I could go Hope everyone who goes has a great time; I had no idea PC was 15 years old...I think I started coming here about 14 years ago; that's insane, I was only 11-12 then!
Hey thanks EQ. I just ordered a 12" polished stainless steel gazing ball. Gonna epoxy on some 1/4" hexnuts, so I can mount it on a tripod. Trouble is, finding wide-open accessible vantage points around Boston. So wooded around here.
