You are just being paranoid. Having another degree helps you be well rounded /w life experiences that aren't just focused on one single thing. Whether you have a degree or not, its all skill based. So just prove you can do the job and you'll be fine. :) I have a 4 year BA in finance /w no art related education.
Wow that's pretty technical :poly124: . Just did a quick measure up post 13 (W) 13 (D) 188(H) which is about right if i remember correctly. and the planks are about 25 (W) 3 (D) 190-180 (H). Planks are a bit wide I agree but it seems to look right in the editor. (I assume CryEngine works in Metric btw).
Hi! What does the mesh shading of the lowpoly look like? Is it the same on all parts using the same texture? Are the stacked shells oriented in the same direction? I would expect the final shading (normal map applied) to look off for each part that's reusing texture but that has mesh shading that's different than the part…
Strange you're bringing this up, Makkon. I had a big discussion about this very subject with the devs on Twitter a little while back. Actually, the issue sounds so similar that I wonder if we are even talking about the same person... Since I've already spoken w him about it, he won't mind me using his name. Noah Bradley is…
Hi @d1ver Thank you for your feedback. It is very constructive and I really appreciate that you've gone through the extra mile measuring my lighting values and matching it up with really useful examples. I'll definitely take your advise and try to adjust my scene and will keep that in mind for future project as well. In…
i never noticed this...but the tweak brush seems to have a lock on it, to a degree. i can move geo with it...but only to a certain point...then it stops. there a setting i'm missing for this? also, w/the move tool...i'm tryin to move a separate body up towards the next of a character. but when i try and move it up…
I'm trying to create a chibi using a rigged and textured character. You'd think it would be as simple as scaling the head bone, but no, doing so has no effect on the mesh. I tried w/ animation>bone tools but only managed to scale in one axis at a time, each of which would reset as soon as the next axis was manipulated.…
That must just be a visual thing. The velocity is the same with both 1 or 2 buttons pressed such as when pressing just "w" and pressing "w + s" you get a velocity of 6. My guess is that it's a optical illusion or something like that. For instance, when you are moving vertically, you move the same speed as when you move…
That's shit but interesting Dur. What's even more interesting is that after the key assignment change has occured, within the hotkey editor pressing 'W' on the keyboard maya reveals as the 'Z' key. So Maya 'thinks' Im pressing Z, even though Im pressing W, so it makes me wonder If this isn't actually some kind of funky…
Hi all, I’m an Art Department Director at a game studio, and we’re specifically looking for a very fast character rigger to help us evaluate and improve our rigging pipeline. Speed is the primary focus here. We’re looking for someone who can turn around solid, game-ready rigs quickly and consistently. Phase 1 (Paid Test…
