@mulfycrowh try this: Copy the script in that directory: C:\Users\dav\Documents\maya\2017\scripts Usually the directory is the other but maybe for some reason you have that If this doesn't work either try to copy the text of the script and paste it in a PYTHON tab . And then follow the same procedure, drag the lines to a…
Damn, that version of bolg is sooo much better. Shame they went cg for that. Another thing, Just a small gripe... its been a looong time since I read the hobbit but I don't remember lake town being the way they portrayed it in the film. It felt more like Ankh Morpork or some place from a Monty python movie. Spose it adds a…
There's an arnoldrendertotexture command with precisely fuck all documentation on either Arnold's website or in the maya docs. However, if you dig out the script for the standard Arnold rtt window you'll be able to trawl your way through various python files and work it out. I've not done a lot with it, mostly just wanted…
really just knowing a programming languages or 2 first will really help out. I picked up unrealScript in 1 day, when i already knew php, python and a little C# though it also depends on how deep into programing too since for programming for almost all games you really do need to have good skills with object orients…
haha, yeah, Keyser got it.(and yeah, the title is from Dirty Work) Yeah Baron Munchausen is probably my favorite Gilliam Film aswell, it was so well done! Such a pity that it is one of his movies a lot seem to overlook (along with Time Bandits and Brazil). I mean everyone loves the Monty Python movies and Fear and Loathing…
I've been trying to use Blender more, and have started using it to create/export stuff to UDK (via FBX). I've been also trying to work on creating a bunch of Python scripts to mimic what I often do in Max/Maya, etc. so we'll see how that goes. Sure, Blender 2.5 isn't done yet, but it's quite awesome already. :)
I tried Blender more than a year ago while I was studying Python. It's a great app, but the interface was terrible. They've had many significant updates since then, so I hope the UI was one of them. The screenshots look great. I'll give it another try soon. I know Cheap and KDR have a lot of luck with the program. And the…
I've already found some references. For face orientation, I will use Kevin James. I am not going to create a likeness, but it is better to have some live references) For weapons - Remington Seven CDL and Colt Python. I still think about the environment - it will be some forest, street, or indoor place. Of course, there…
How important is it that pieces snap to the grid in the game engine if you do the layout in your 3D app? Besides snapping is there any other benefits to making modular pieces fit to the grid? I would layout my pieces in maya(snapping but not in respect to a grid) and then use a python script to send that over to UDK.
I just got an email from Autodesk that Maya LT 2019 is out now. I checked online for new features and didn't find any new info about it (not even on the Autodesk website, it's still 2018 stuff). Does anybody know what's new? I hope the improved the auto-rig tool and possibly added python support for add-ons such as ZBrush.
