Is there a good way to do this? Normal align seems to do what I want but it's completely unaffected by snaps which makes it annoying to place things correctly. Any ideas?
I get this wierd effect and don't know what's causing it. I've made this crate in Maya and exported it into unity. In Maya, when I put directional lights everything seems fine, my normals are all looking good, and I have no idea. All help appriciated. picture attached

Hey, this is my first post! I’ve been trying to capture her likeness, trying out different measurements -including Zbrush spotlight. Maybe I’ve been looking at it for so long, but I feel I’m off somewhere 🤔🧐 open to any suggestions- thanks!
UPDATE: I solved the problem. There were duplicate faces (of course there were, this is Maya) with mucky UVs sitting on top of the correct ones. Cleaned that right up.
A lot of people have said to just not worry about them, but they bother me so much when I see them. I work in Maya, and I just can't stand them. You can see where they twist when I'm modeling a low-poly object in quads. Only if you look very closely however, but there's just gotta be a way around all that ugly stuff right?
