i'm surprised any war of the 20th century could be considered "romantic" (any at all to be exact). but WW1 as a scenario for me would be more interesting than WW2 because of the interesting stylemix that goes into everything from uniforms (think pickelhaube!), weapons and equipment to the status of a soldier within society… -
