Hi, I just started modeling an EOTech su 231 holographic sight. This is my first time modeling an accessory for a gun. What would you recommend I aim for (pun) tri count wise if I'm going for a modern PC FPS game? I was thinking somewhere around 1.5-2k, but that's just a guess.
Even A4 is inaccurate. The active area on an A4 model is actually 305 x 231 mm, which works because that's a 4:3 aspect ratio and it matches up nicely with computer screens. Regular A4 is more like a 10:7. Anyway I call them A4/A3 because that's what it says on the box.
Wow fmnoor I looked up the trailer for that game http://www.gametrailers.com/umwatcher.php?id=231 Man that looks fucking awesome ..I loved the other games in the series . It's hard to believe all that is real-time it looks like coruscant !
Left it running for a hour today, still no success. Tried putting it in a new scene as a .obj, nope. What's weird is even if I select just a few elements it counts it as 231 no matter how many are selected, weird. Surely there has to be a solution? All game studios will need to normalize their UV's yet there isn't a tool…
I.c. 3080 not 3090 ... oppsie, i made a dumb. 20gb? linus has a 24gb so if you want more afaik if he has it, its out? https://youtu.be/JDUnSsx62j8?t=231 ^Starts talking about gb's immediately, if not 3:51
"According to Business Week, the average CEO of a major corporation made 42 times the average hourly worker's pay in 1980. By 1990 that had almost doubled to 85 times. In 2000, the average CEO salary reached an unbelievable 531 times that of the average hourly worker. "
your right, but the gloss maps are grey scale. so instead saving them out uniquely you can store them in the alpha channel of an other map for example the normal. diffuse and normal maps resolution ranged between 521 and 2k the average being 1024.

I've done some work in MD. I started with v2 and my god it was an experience. The thing didn't have undo, so if you do something you didn't want to or the sim spazes out - you're in trouble. Anyhow, they added undo later as a major (!!!) feature and it is a bit better now over all. Generally you can learn it in couple…
