I'd just export the ZBrush mesh one or two subdivisions lower than highest (as Okkun suggested), since Max is usually fine with 1-2 million poly models (for me, anyway, provided you have the viewport in smooth shaded mode with only wireframes on selected objects).
Thank you all so much for your posts! I'm still waiting for applicants, and I'll be making my selection in the next day or so. Please continue to submit your work! I'm very impressed with the quality of what I'm seeing and I really appreciate your submissions!
'Before installing new drivers make sure you uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers from the Windows Control Panel. Browse to the Start Menu > Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and search for "NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers" or "NVIDIA Display Drivers" and select remove.'
I did the exact opposite, I selected the low settings and then upped the settings I wanted/needed to get the best results. Doing it the other way around didn't quite work as well for some bizarre reason. You'd think it wouldn't really matter. /me shrugs -caseyjones
You can move layers out of folders by ungrouping them. Holding down the "Alt-key" while clicking the "Group button" will ungroup the folder that is currently selected! Duplicating folders is something the dev team is looking in to at the moment! Let me know if you have any further questions!
Just ordered Bridgman...let the studies begin! UPDATE: Some of my old stuff. Picked my absolute worst stuff to see some development. Just a selection of it. Such a shame I lost those old pics, would have liked to see what everyones feedback related to.
Kp, I think the reason why he tackled stuff that way is because, that's the only way for maya do perform (seamless) realtime symmetry :P I know it sounds like a joke but it's true - it only works with selection and transforms, not with geometry/topology edits. But yeah I agree.
Unwrap done, just finalising textures. I'll probably use the jungle map for some beauty shots because it seems really fitting. The dino is only selected to show the pivot is off centre, but I sorted that. Still, a useful hotkey nonetheless that I didn't know of - thanks! :D
Art-Machine is talking about rotating to arbitrary angles. You would need to convert the RGB values to vectors, rotate the vectors around Z according to the desired rotation, convert those back to RGB, and then rotate the actual selection in Photoshop as if it were a standard rotation operation for an arbitrary angle.
[ QUOTE ] "Invalid City" for me. [/ QUOTE ] Fill in your name and then the city (be sure you havnt clicked in not in US yet), then it should give you an option with county+country behind the city name, click it then click the im not in US, now you should have a location selected properly.
