My portfolio lacks one atmospheric environment and I am trying to fix that by doing a atmospheric scifi hallway (UE4). I chose Jarkuzy concept as a quide/reference since I love the pillars on the right and the concept gives me some freedom as well. Concept (by Jarkuzy): Original link:…
I know there's really no wrong way to make something look futuristic, but this is my first go with futuristic stuff and as well as no concept. It's all about me using my artistic license, which is a lot more daunting with 3d modeling then it is 2d. Thanks!
Just a little environment i've been working on. Any critiques would be appreciated. I've used the UE3 editor in the past, but this is the first time using UDK. It's basically the same I rekon. I think i might be going overboard with the foggy fx and light beams etc.
this is a sceneI am working on for my portfolio. all crits and comments are welcome I want to make this as awesome as i can and I would like some help to increase the coolness of it. I HAVE NOT DOME ANY LIGHTING YET Screen shot 2011-12-14 at 8.20.59 PM
Hey there guys, I'm starting a new project for university, and I'll be modeling and texturing a scifi vehicle heavily themed on early 20th century technology. I'll be posting here my WIPs, please comment and critic, all suggestions and tips are more than welcome :)
I really wish Epic would have done a demo with a detailed scifi scene or some clean subdivision models. The type of assets done by Tor Frick and Paul Pepera would work extremely well. People are getting the wrong impression Nanite is only good for sculpts or photogrammetry, which is far from how it actually works.
Far too many to mention, here's a taste David Levy and all the other steambot studio guys Torvenius Mr Jack Karanak Scott Robertson Fightpunch Feng Zhu John Park Syd mead Frank Fazetta 2000 AD Why? Coz they do mind blowing fantasy and Scifi concept sketching and artwork.
I really like the mixture of highpoly and handpainted style that's going on here on your scifi stuff, make's me wanna try out something like that myself. Very inspiring. Would you mind sharing a little breakdown of you process? Only thing bothering me is that bright cyan-ish grass. It's hurting the eyes a little.
Why don´t you get your lego stuff and do a mini environment using it...maybe a small half scify corridor with one or two lego characters on that. All lego style and with some mobile spec in mind. Then put it on some game engine. What about some famous movie scene??? That might be awesome. :)
Love it! I'd love to see your wireframes for your door, I think it looks super awesome! I think you juxtaposition of the sci-fi element and then the low tech building is kind of neat, but i'd like to see the scifi elements kind of echoed through your building subtly? But that's just my 2 cents.
