nah vassago, I wasnt thinking along RTS lines, but more along a first or third person view type of game. And the term massive would be relative I suppose, but Im betting with low specs you could put several hundred units in a game and eventually, that number will grow as comps improve.
They are 2048x2048 textures scaled down to 1024x1024 for ingame use. The renders here were done in Maya using the 2048 textures. The quality difference is not really noticeable within the Unreal3 Engine. Would not make much sense to use a 2048 texture on less important props. I have spec and occlusion maps also.
some nice details on there! I think the hands look a bit too sausagey for what I understand Alien to be, but I love some of the sinewy goo you've got going on edit: reading the specs again though, for that polycount you've got some very harsh edges going on.. not really low poly!
