As far as I can tell, China does have too many game outsource studios...especially small, new ones. I think the new ones must have a hard time finding clients. It may not have too many big, established studios, however. Big AAA projects mainly want to hire big established outsource studios, and for a while the larger…
I'm a pretty big Sonic fan and I'm just as amazed at the weird avenues parts of the fanbase move into. I would say: Mario has a pop-culture penetration of mostly his game appearances and some branded novelties (not counting the live action movie). Mostly his incarnation is exactly the same, as Nintendo has made sure that…

I've been watching a lot of instructional videos, but none answered this question... how many polys are there generally for a finished sculpture in character art? for both portrait and figure used for games and film. Thanks and advance!
Hello all! I've been working on a new piece the past few weeks for my portfolio. This is my interpretation of the New Zealand's Maori god, Ruaumoko. He is the youngest of the myth gods and is the source of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The PS sketch is what I plan to get him to look like in the end. I'm gonna update…
In Blender there's a function to record an object as you move it while the timeline is activated and it marks keys automaticaly for every frame. This is quite useful. Is ther a similar function in Maya? Thx.
