Hi all! :) I'm looking for online courses, trying to improve my techniques and knowledge. But I'm a little bit lost about schools and places that are really worth it. I'm an environment artist, I would like to learn Unreal 4 or CryEngine and improve my Zbrush skills. I was thinking to join this course…
I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to scale/transform by specific units. Ex: I created a box 256 units. I want to squish and scale the box on one axis by 128 units. I just want to type it in the transorm box instead of zooming in on the grid and watching as I transform from unit to unit. Haha. But it does not work…
I wanted to try and create something entirely in Zbrush, going from zspheres all the way to painting it. So I decided to try making a bust, but before I started trying to paint this I was hoping to get some critiques.
This used to happen to me all the time with Sandbox 2. To fix it i had to edit the registry, try: Start > Run > type REGEDIT Then go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\ and change NoRecentDocsHistory to 0
I tried blocking out the whole thing but the scale was looking a bit janky so I decided to scrap that work and really focus on the blockout of the main cryo tubes so that I could build proportions around them.
I've shipped 10 titles now and I've noticed my sense of pride and achievement follows the same routine each development cycle. One would assume we work toward achieving a new watermark level of quality in order to feel a grand sense of achievement when our work is released and we gain the chance for perspective. I've…
@Alex_J Hey thanks. When I create an artwork, I focus on creating Toy-like scene and mix it with realistic shader and lighting. I try to make it look like a kid animation movie poster but I actually focus on making adults wow. Glad to hear it! and thx for the cc!
I wasn't trying to make a point, just linking a video I thought was relevant lol you don't have to watch it if you don't want to Another relevant video, still not trying to make a point, just thought it's pretty spot on. Bit less sensationalist than BellularNews. Both are fellow game developers and I think have good takes…
Did you try to export the Animation independently? There's usually an option that says export ANM with CGAs. If you did that and you got an i_caf instead, open the engine, go to View: View Pane: Animation Importer and import the i_caf from there.
Good practice :) That's true, I think cryrid method is more efficient and quick than the one you try to do. That extrude feature is quite new to zB (4R3 ???) so maybe your tutorial is older. But it's good to know it anyway :)
