Softimage question regarding Units.

I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to scale/transform by specific units.
Ex: I created a box 256 units. I want to squish and scale the box on one axis by 128 units. I just want to type it in the transorm box instead of zooming in on the grid and watching as I transform from unit to unit. Haha.
But it does not work as expected.
Any ideas?

You should be able to add /2 to the scale value of the axis you want (which would cause both sides to scale in until the box is 128 units on that axis), or select the verts/face on one side and add -128 units to the transform value of that axis if you only wanted one side to move.
This should work.
