If I have a model with a lot of overlapping pieces, does anyone know of a way to select faces that will never be seen by the camera/viewport? The end goal would be to delete them but I may need to add some buffer space for smoothing, which is why selecting them first would be better.
Every time I try to export a selection to any format, I get the error message saying nothing is selected and I automatically go into component mode. I remembered this happening to me before but can't remember what fixed it. Help please :( Addendum: Export All works but it's a cumbersome workaround.
hi! i'm new on thread. just a question, how do I move the pivot point during the sub object mode. for example, If i selected 5 polygons, then the pivot will go to the center of the selected polys. but what if I want to just put it in the end of the 5 polys that I selected.

VN feature in ADN Modeler Tools works better and I just use ADN Hard Edges selection tool, bevel it, select the flat surfaces with Angle Selection Constraint and use ADN Vertex Normal feature.
I'm not sure how to do that exactly, but: In face mode, goto the select menu, select overlapped faces. That will select the overlapping faces, I don't know how you get a permenant colour change on them though.
