I've been trying to decide which of the two programs would be better for use with real time rendering for creating animated shorts and films, Blender or Unreal Engine 4? My goal is just to start learning how to animate, but I'm on a budget and don't have a high capacity computer for complex rendering, so I need to start…
Is Modo the only good renderer with rounded edges. Is it the only viable renderer that allows the Technique that Torfrick uses? Both for Highpoly rendering and optionally also lowpoly baking. Other render engines also have rounded corner shaders, but they all seem to have shading problems. Corona has dark edges and the…

Bullshit. I've been working with Source for years now and it's still a pain in the ass even though I know it pretty thoroughly. Importing models and textures is more annoying than it should be and the only reason I like Hammer better than the UT3 editor is because I've been working with it longer and I know what all the…
All depends on what you're developing. I'd argue that engines like Unreal are deeply unsuited to quickfire events like jams. Maybe it'll improve in UE4, but the iteration time is just too slow as UE3 is geared towards large scale production, and flexibility comes first. Not sure if Unity is any better, not used it enough.…
