Did you make sure your high poly was in the same location? In blendee hit ctrl+G location, then set that to 000 for both objects. -

You need to mess with distance and bias. Probably your bias is too low. If it's the default .001 try setting it .01 and rebake, or .1 and rebake. -

401 is rather unstable yes. I´ve gone back to using 302 for modelling and UVmapping. I only use 401 for rendering atm. -
