This is a totally newb question, but I don't even know how to search for an answer. When I'm selecting polygons in an Editable Poly, sometimes they get highlighted with a red wireframe, sometimes they get highlighted with a red tint: I think this is some sort of setting with a keyboard shortcut that I keep accidentally…
Does anyone know how to create a shortcut toggle for displaying selected with edged faces? The option is found in the viewport config screen but the maxscript listener doesn't show anything when I switch it on/off. I seem to use this option all the time so it would be really handy to bind it to a key/quad menu.
I wrote a little Mel script to handle toggling Camera based selection in marquee mode on or off. Anyone know what I need to add or do so that the script can just be called by using something like cbsToggle in the command line? Also is there any way to keep the code tag from removing certain portions of code?

Without recalling the old masking back ofc ... I mean this…
Bit of a longshot - but does anyone know of a script for xsi that quickly selects UV island edges and applies a hard edge? At the moment I'm doing most of my modelling in Max and exporting straight into unreal - I've been using turbotools to quickly do an island to smoothing groups before normal baking which works…
In maya you can select using constraints like flipped normals, n-gons, etc. Is there a similar feature in 3ds max. It's the one thing that I really cant find a quick way of doing in max that I'm use to doing quickly in maya.
Hey all, Working on a character and I didn't make the sculpting version first (didn't think I was going to make a normal map), so my model has tons of tris. I think I need to turn it to quads to sculpt high res, but I was wondering if there is a quick way in Max 9 to select only 3 sided faces? Thanks!
