And it was actually a really good price too, I wanted to get the model above that, but I thought this would be a good stepping stone... and man I am happy I made the purchase. It does have some pretty nasty buzz at time, i'm still fiddling round with the action... but yuh, the tone is to die for man. -

Thank you Perzik. :) I got some feedback and worked some more on it. The gold wasn't really reading as gold. Some slight changes were made to the albedo and I also tried putting in a bit of specular. Also toned down how shiny the stones are again, it just looks a bit weird before. -
Baking normalmap as diffuse instead of lots of highpolys.
I got some stones i'm doing for a smaller scene. Atm i'm at 1.5k stones with a tris count on 3.5m.. Not very easy to work with. So my friends ask me, why not bake the highpoly stones, it's five different ones, one by one to a lowpoly version. Like 20-30 triangles. The place them in my scene and apply the normal map as an… -

I think its a good start. The stone is throwing me off though. It looks more like clay. I think if you made the edges a little more solid, and maybe tone down on the noise a bit it would define it better. Where's the steampunk parts? I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. -
