Facebook converts all images uploaded to it, to .jpg, it also tends to apply rather poor compression to images, upload it to dropbox, or your blog, and get the direct image link to post on polycount.
The problem is about the compression of the image JPG. If you enter to photoshop and then save the image for web devices with all 100% quality.3Dsmax in Realistic mode doesn't seem to support compressed images.
You should learn to upload images. Click the little image thing when making a post and put your image url in. People generally won't look at what you link.
