Hello people, when I using a reference image in a project looks too dark making it difficult modeling the small details. And although I increase the self-ilumination in Material Editor I don't see any improvement. How can i fix this? Do you have the same problem and use other external 3ds Max tools? Any answer would be great. Thanks in advance. :-)

Ug I have had this problem. Screen resolution and lighting for ref images or plans. You have to play around with the viewport settings. Turn  the scene lighting for viewports off (top left of the viewport somewhere). and play with the driver settings till you find the one that works best.

Does 3DsMax have gamma correction for textures, and for the viewport? The reason I ask is because whenever a texture is brighter or darker than it ought to look in Maya, usually the gamma setting is the issue.

Thanks, Joopson! I went to "Gamma and LUT" in "Preference Settings" and I turned off "Enable Gamma/LUT correction". This has apparently solved the problem, because I can see the image clearly. Thanks, mates, for your help and attention.
