The only issue I have found is that finding drivers for some items like wireless cards, scanners and such aren't as prevalent, as advanced, (or even exist) for XP 64 versus Vista 64. It's a driver issue. I think Maya lists what drivers are supported and work the best. I'm using Maya 7 and I have a 7900 gt.
