May9 and MMtoKey is a huge speed boost. Last year I used it as a starting point for customizing my 2016 configuration. Nearly all of the day-to-day scripts and functions I use for modeling are easy to reach in a single motion now. I highly suggest trying it out to see what a good mmtokey layout can do for you.
@metalliandy bit off topic but since your following blender dev, do you know if there planing a Move and Stich tool for UV's similar to maya or max. for lots of simpler non-organic objects i tend to do a lot of planner mapping and moves + stiches to make my layout, which is quite slow to do in blender atm,
