http://imgur.com/a/RshEi A while back I wrote something for my friends on how to use curvature map as a starting mask to do texturing work, hope yall find it useful. :) Thanks.
Hey Guys, I ran into a bug with the mask ID editor. When I right click on the dynamsk in the DDO layer window it opens the ID editor. When I click on the ID I want to select DDO throws this error. I am using 1.8 and Photoshop CC, if you need anymore info just let me know.
Your favorite weapon is a flamethrower and the crawlers are your prey ? As a Firebug you should wear this 'Bug' gas mask, it will protect you from all the biohazard mess and you will scare these monsters for sure. Inspired by fly and mosquito proboscis. Very basic concept, I prefer to make a prototype sculpt without…
I liked Batman Arkham Asylum a lot, and thought it'd be a good idea to create another of the rogues and aspire to that standard of quality. This is my version of Black Mask, loosely based on the concept by Carlos D'Anda. Currently he's at 16,884 tris, with 2K diffuse, normal and specular maps. Rendered in the updated…
Weight Maps are discontinuous,
one-dimensional Vertex Maps holding weight
percentages. Although primarily used for Rigging, in this video I create a
weight map and use it to aid in texturing a mesh. http://www.pixelfondue.com/blog/2017/3/28/modo-using-weight-maps-as-layer-masks
made a little tutorial vid on using masks in zbrush to create a fingernail.. the process can also be used for teeth or anything that needs to grow out of or into another surface.. had some good help from a good friend.. the compression is a bit sloppy i need to work on compression settings in camtasia.. i just bought it..…
Sorry for the long delay, but I got busy with schoolwork. Here's a new update: I defined the materials a lot better (imo) and obviously added a mannequin head and a hat. It all clocked in at 2000 tris (about 1500 for the mask and another 500 for the hat) with a 1024^2 texture set for the mask another 1024*512 texture set…
Hey All, I just upgraded to quixel 2.0 and was super excited to get started... however I've come across a major issue and not even sure what is going on. I plugged in all my maps (Normal map, AO etc) properly. However it's baking these weird numbers out instead and when I try to apply any mask preset, nothing really…
Hi, I used many times Quixel for texturing and my workflow is most times the same. The only difference is that I imported 2 meshes. I have weird tiling of texture on my masks. I even try to seperate the objects and reimport them as one object to Quixel but I still get this failures. I do not know how to fix this. Maybe…
Hello! As the title says, I want to try and give a slider on my mask a keyframe, though I've been having difficulties trying to get this to work. The end result I'm looking for is that the top material slowly rusts away and reveals the material below. If anyone knows how to get this effect, please let me know!
