For this project we were tasked with creating a 3D environment with a story behind it and putting the final product into Unreal. For my environment the islands are being held up by magic which is throwing off gravity in this environment, the shrine at the center of the island is the source of this power! -

I don't think the post is overdone at all. Rather I feel it's spot on. Very 'close encounters' with a powerful cinematic sense :smile: Also, the Earth shot looks great. Looking forward to more. -
Re: Normal maps for water shader
I had a similar problem. But I think you could try to find tutorials for making ocean in UDK. UDK is powerful. You don't really need to make water from Maya to UDK. -

i think the sparks could be way faster than the cloud, i imagine them being shot out of the explosion with furious power which in that amount will not affect the smoke which is far more inert -

Thanks, the rear does look strange as it is now. He's meant to be a younger man "infected" with magical powers. I wanted to make the veins blue but then it would just look like normal blood :P -

Buddy you're gonna love yourself some Modo. Talk about a power program. One thing that helped me with Modo was, to not over think it. Its often WAY more simpler than it seems. -

Well, the fact that it has more powerful hardware than a PS3, and (at least for now) is saying the games will be all free, and it clocks in under $100, it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people are excited and wanted one.
